I wasn't sure he was the agent for me but I made all the revisions he requested and he rejected me anyway. So, sure that my manuscript was MUCH better thanks to all of his revision requests, I polished it further and sent it to a select group of agents that I REALLY wanted. My A-list agents. And one of them bought it. So it does pay off because the worst feeling is for a substandard agent to want to represent you. Then you have to make the decision, "Can I really turn an agent down?"Stephanie Farishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10461865229341760836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5035303649437804445.post-57682190195359911942010-02-15T17:48:30.024-06:002010-02-15T17:48:30.024-06:00Thanks for the advice. For example, I think I know Nathan Bradsford well enough to buy him a good Christmas present, but he probably gets twice the queries an unwebsited agent from a mid-size agency gets.Claire Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14354840714847021685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5035303649437804445.post-45263714817700968412010-02-15T15:44:47.391-06:002010-02-15T15:44:47.391-06:00Great advice.
