My teachers took a vested interest in what I chose to read for some reason! My sister really liked the books, and I remember watching the adaptation of it with her on TV.

Harry Potter is great of course, but kind of skipped out on the others listed here.D. U. I enjoyed the film adaptations to the max!

Hey, I was in Ft. Worth last weekend, and going down again next week to finalize a few things. Could you PLEASE do something about that friggin' Texas heat? :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5035303649437804445.post-6572555262093006272011-08-02T13:56:33.727-05:002011-08-02T13:56:33.727-05:00Disclaimer: Flowers in the Attic was published in ...Disclaimer: Flowers in the Attic was published in 1979 but the entire series was done by the time I read them. They were actually banned in some libraries because of the content. I'm only hatin' the movie, still love that book, flaws and all.Marsha Sigmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11095210839900479297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5035303649437804445.post-48193874938410247932011-08-02T13:40:20.170-05:002011-08-02T13:40:20.170-05:00I agree with you! And Lord of the Rings was a masterpiece, IMO. Peter Jackson loves that series as much as anyone on the planet and he did a phenomenal job with a ton of material. So glad they did that in three long movies.

Stephen King's books are perfectly suited for movies. I think my favorites are, of course, Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, and The Shining, which scared the crap out of me.Luanne G.
