I loved the books. I don't care what anyone says about Stephenie Meyers, that woman knows how to tell a story. I read the first three books in one weekend. By Monday morning I wasn't sure whether my name was Marsha...or Bella. And I wasn't sure I cared.
I was half in love with Edward by the middle of the first book and I would have done anything to be a Cullen by the fourth one. Yes, I was deep in Twilight Mania. Then the movies came. I was bitterly disappointed by the casting. Not that all of the actors aren't incredibly talented...they are. They don't look too bad either. But that is not what they looked like in my head!
So, I am recasting. This is who I would have chosen to play the roles of those characters that for a few months were very important people in my life.
Bella
Edward
Alice
Rosalie
Emmett
Dr. Cullen
Jacob
And...Jacob
Who I would have chosen to play Edward might be a tad too old for that part...but look at him!
I rest my case.
Ha ha! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I kinda like the Alice casting, and I don't mind Jacob. I really didn't Carlisle casting.
But your choices are fantastic!
Linguista: Thank you! I wasn't too upset over Alice, I think they did ok with that but mine is better.ha I hated who they chose for Carlisle! And I really like that actor but he was completely wrong for the part. So were most of the others.
ReplyDeleteThough I have never read the books, nor seen the movies... I approve of your recasting of Edward. Whatshisname who actually does play him is just ugly and makes me want to womit. So if I ever get around to reading the books... I will try to picture your version of Edward, not Hollywoods. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Valerie. Please do that! Mine is so much hotter...and he washes his hair unlike Rob Pattinson.
ReplyDeleteYou should be a casting director.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Twilight fan, but the ones you chose look right for the parts.
LOL... I love it. So true. I think you should be a casting agent in your spare time.
ReplyDeleteLove Twilight! Love your casting choices, too! Your Jacob...YUM!
ReplyDeleteTerry, Jennifer, Kimberly: Thank you very much...I have given wayyy too much thought to it as you can see.ha
ReplyDeleteThe casting actually didn't bother me (Although I do wish K. Stewart was a bit more emotional on screen, but then again, when you think about Bella, she's not real outwardly emotional anyway). I guess for me, I realized it was going to be hard to translate what's in the books on the screen...since a lot of it is internal thoughts rather than actual action. I think "NEW MOON" was VERY good and look forward to the next one. I've read the books at least twice and own them all...lol I got a "New Moon" tote bag from one of my sisters for Christmas with the Cullen family crest on it. Color me happy! LOL
