Monday Must: Be Forgiving

We must forgive those who could not resist publishing the ramblings of Paris Hilton.

Or Lauren Conrad.

Or Snookie (who tweeted that she read her first book just a few months ago).

Or this little girl.

Or this one.

And this one by some dude who became popular on MySpace.

I can't imagine any of these people with enough coherent thoughts to fill a book.  I imagine there are a lot of pictures.  But I will forgive.  I will forgive until it hurts.

  1. You cannot blame the celebrities or the publishers...the real blame goes to the people who shell out money for these books. If nobody bought them, no publisher would touch them.

  2. Thanks for the laugh. When I hear what these "writers" make for their books, I want to cry. Or throw something. I'll take your advice and be forgiving. Breathe.

  3. Ha! I was at B&N this weekend and found a book on Lady Gaga. It wasn't written by her but the thing was huge, and who is spending $15. bucks to read about her short lived career? Obviously I went about this whole writing thing the wrong way. *must star in reality TV show or wear outrageous clothing*

  4. Sigh. So it appears there are two ways to become published. Do the HARD work and go at it the hard, normal way. Or be a celebrity and get mindless babble published just because of your name. Hmmm...

  6. This is pretty funny, BUT LC is actually very smart. She is a respectable business woman. But blast the rest of them!

It helps to know I'm not just talking to myself.
