I want a device to do what it’s supposed to do and any extra gadgets or features confuse the issue for me.
I want to listen to the radio in my car or sometimes a CD. My six CD changer thingy is just confusing and it takes me forever to find the one I want. Even worse than that, my husband has a touch screen radio. When I drive his truck, I just sing to myself. It’s a lot easier.
I’m still learning about features within Blogger. I don’t know about you but I love it when I get an email back from someone in response to a comment I left on their blog. So I decided I would try to do this. Then I realized in order for me to email a commenter, they must have an email set up in their profile.
So if you want to receive replies not just from me but other bloggers as well then please…
Go to your Dashboard
Click on 'Edit Profile'
Check the box 'Share My Profile'
Then check the box 'Show My Email Address'
Your email won’t show up on your blog so don’t worry about that, and for those of you who don’t have a blog you can still create a profile in your Google account or whatever program you’re using and peeps can contact you as long as you add your email address.
Then I can
I like responding to people that way too but I can't always respond to everyone because they don't have their e-mail there!
ReplyDeleteMine's up there but I don't get e-mails very often. I love my iPhone, though. The phone capability of my phone is almost an afterthought!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you posted how to do this :) It took me ages to figure it out on my own--and now I feel guilty for not thinking to pass the knowledge along like you just did!
ReplyDeleteYou can come visit, but you have to bring the food.
ReplyDeleteI only learned about the emailing a commenter thing recently. It's nice to get responses on comments (but okay, I admit I'm bad about replying directly to comments myself... but I will ALWAYS stop by and comment on the blogger's blog!)
ReplyDeleteI'm better with technology than I used to be, but I get frustrated learning something new. Whenever I get an upgrade on my phone I'm in a bad mood for a few days until I learn how to use it properly.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree. Nothing saddens me more than wanting to respond to a comment and getting the dreaded noreply-comment AT blogger DOT com.
ReplyDeleteI also hate when I can't type and have to delete the above comment!
You must have access to my mind because I was struggling with this very thing on Monday. You frighten me Marsha. Well played my friend. Well played.
ReplyDeleteHow funny!! I just did it per your instructions and I already had it set up that way! Go, me?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know what you're talking about. I think I have my account set up that way - I think. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm just technophobic ish. :) Unless it's a gaming system. I can rock that. :D
I'm like this too. This is why I don't any of the Apple iproducts.
ReplyDeleteI like to talk on my phone. I listen to music on the radio. I read on my Kindle.
