Fear is Funny

Haunted houses are a tradition during the month of October, like Halloween foreplay. Many years ago we used to gather a large group and hit all the local haunts, making sure to invite at least one much younger person to go with us. Someone's sibling or pre-teen child always wanted to tag along, completely unaware of the real purpose behind our invitation. They were the goat, our sacrificial lamb or to be more specific, the designated person we shoved in front hoping whatever it was out there would accept the offering and give us a running head start. Was it cruel? Yes. Did we consider the lasting trauma we were inflicting on said person? No.

Because fear is funny…when it isn’t you about to pee your pants.

Still in denial?  Check out these reaction pics from a haunted house.

Jump?  How high?

I got this, Bro.

The sacrificial virgin.

Ahhh...the terror train.  This brings back memories.

Whoa, Dude!  I'm just lookin' for the bathroom.

Im'a get you outta here if I have to pull you out by your head.

Take my sister!  Please, take my sister!!

This saddens me.  He looked so tough in that camo.

Who's scared now? Huh? Huh? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Have a great weekend!!

  1. I want you to know that it's coincidental that I'm first again. I'm not stalking you.

Shame on that dude hiding behind his girlfriend. Yeah, that comment may be sexist, tuff.

  2. I don't know which is scarier about that last picture -- the outfit she chose to wear to the haunted house or the fact that they totally look like brother and sister. Creepy.

Thanks for the laugh. Have a great weekend. :)

  6. I love the last one! Hilarious! They obviously got lost looking for the tanning salon, because you can never be too orange...
On a slightly disturbing note, that wallpaper is very much like my blog background.

  7. Those are hilarious. I love the one with the guy by himself. Like putting his hand up is going to save him. "Hey Mr. Ghost. Talk to teh hand, 'cuz the face is too busy screaming."

  8. That last guy is coppin' a feel. Probably because he's not quite smart enough to be scared.

  9. Haha, hilarious :) I also love the one where the "tough" guy is hiding behind the girl. Makes me wonder what it was they were so afraid of.

It helps to know I'm not just talking to myself.
