Yes, I watched this when it was on The Rejectionist. It is a quite good parody.
I have set up scheduled posting for the next few weeks and probably won't be commenting during that period, but I'll be back in real time on January 3, 2010. Merry Christmas and a truly Blessed New Year. Lee http://tossingitout.blogspot.com/
Marsha, I just clicked over to your blog from Kiersten White's, and had to laugh to see this video posted! Neutraface is a typeface designed by my husband's company, House Industries (www.houseind.com). It was inspired by the work of mid-century architect/designer Richard Neutra. We've been enjoying this hilarious video for the past couple of weeks, and then I saw it on The Rejectionist's blog and now yours! It's everywhere. Funny when my two worlds collide (I'm an aspiring YA author and my husband makes fonts) but I guess I shouldn't be surprised that literary types also are interested in type!
Hi Marsha. Nice to "meet" you! It was actually one (or more, in collaboration) of the type designers who work for my husband's company who designed Neutraface, not him personally. Anyhoo... I'm enjoying your blog. Kind of working up the nerve to start one of my own, but then I think perhaps I should wait until there's some glimmer of hope that I might actually get published some day. Plus, blogging would require me to be clever and witty on a daily basis. Now there's a frightening thought.

ReplyDeleteHi Sharon! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHow totally cool is that? I cannot believe your husband designed it! I laughed hysterically at this video.
