Texas Style

Let me clear up a few misconceptions about Texans.

1) We do NOT attend family reunions to find husbands (2nd cousins do not count, everyone knows that).
2) We are not slow...we are thoughtful.
3) We do not have an accent...everyone else does.
4) We do not all carry guns...sometimes we leave them at home.
5) We do not all vote Republican...sometimes we vote Independant.
6) Not everything is BIG...just the important things.

We have given the world Buddy Holly, Janis Joplin, Willie Nelson, Tina Turner, Beyonce, and ZZ Top.

We have given birth to Matthew McConaughey, Tommy Lee Jones, Steve Martin, Billy Bob Thorton, Dennis Quaid, Randy Quaid, Carol Burnett, Farah Fawcett, and George Foreman.

Who could kick your butt and cook a steak at the same time!
The list is endless.

We are loud, funny, and sometimes obnoxious but we are loyal to a fault.  We believe in pride of self, and pride of country.  We are the home of the last true American Cowboy.

Who still ride today.

Long Live Texas.

  7. Who started you off? lol!

My neighbour is Texan (yeah, all the way in Japan). She doesn't fit any of the stereotypes. That's great, I worked with a "real" Texan once, and I never want to do it again.

  9. Marsha,

TOTALLY AWESOME and as a fellow Texan, I agree. Although, I didn't realize everybody else had the accent. That's really cool. (Yes, I do sound Southern when I talk, in case anyone was wondering).

You forgot "Bigger and better" :-)

It helps to know I'm not just talking to myself.
