Wednesday's Word(s)-Blogtastic Writerrific Contesterama

If you never participate in contests, if you lurk in the comments, if you hesitate to put yourself out there, now is the time to step up!

We are being handed a once in a lifetime opportunity (at least until next year). Some of the most caring, wonderful, talented new authors are giving up their time to help aspiring writers meet agents!!! And not just any agents, but Super Rock Star Agents such as:

Mary Kole, Catherine Drayton, Steven Malk, Michelle Andelman, Suzie Townsend, Mark McVeigh, Joanna Stampfel-Volpe, Kathleen Ortiz, Lindsay Eland, Dan Ehrenhaft, Mandy Hubbard, Lindsey Leavitt, Josh Berk, Anica Rissi, Jodi Meadows…and that’s just a few.

WriteOnCon is a kidlit online writer’s conference that will be held August 10-12. The founding members that came up with this idea and are now implementing it are all holding awesome contests on their blogs. Check them out, follow them (you should be already!!), and get details for WriteOnCon. I will also be keeping a countdown widget in the sidebar of my blog as a reminder.

Lisa and Laura Writes-Lisa & Laura Roecker
Literary Rambles-Casey McCormick
Shannon Whitney Messenger
Elana Johnson
Totally The Bomb-Jamie Harrington
Along with Jen Stayrook

If you write YA/MG, then this is your chance to shine.

Do not miss this Blogtastic Writerrific Contesterama!!!

And that, my friends, is the Word.

  1. I'm supposed to be in-person at a conference then, but if I don't go (ie don't find my passport) I'm definitely game! :)

It helps to know I'm not just talking to myself.
