Tuesday’s Take: There’s an App for that.

I am pretty technologically advanced. I mean I try to keep up with the times. My phone has a touch screen. I know how to burn a CD (sort of). I use email instead of calling my friends because let’s face it…I’m funnier in print.

But I am constantly surprised by the new leaps being made. There is an app for everything now. One of my coworkers showed me a YouTube video of a dog singing. It was good. Better than Brittany. Why? Because there’s an app for that and it’s called an auto tuner. It automatically tunes sound so that even a dog could be a rock star. Which might be the coolest thing ever invented. My other childhood dream (besides writing) could actually happen.
Ok, maybe not.

Here are a few more apps you might have never heard of.

And finally one of my personal favorites:

You go, Apple dude.

  1. the whole auto tuning thing creeps me out!

  2. There are SO many apps and I just ignore most of them. But there are some useful ones. I don't think I'd use an audio tuner, but I love the Facebook app, the Twitter app, this app I downloaded that is a navigation for my car. Several others. My favorite is the Kindle app. Love it!

  3. I need to find a floor mopping and dish washing app. The cat litter scooping app is brilliant. I'm going to download it asap.

  4. lol. I might well be the last person on the planet who's just happier lo-tech.

  5. Dude, I so wish there was an app for scooping the litter box! I would pay big money for that! =)

  6. Clever apps -- didn't know they were so versatile!

It helps to know I'm not just talking to myself.
