Show the Love Contest

I read everything, in and out of my chosen genre.  While I don't do many book reviews, I can tell you that I have very strong opinions and it's hard to read anymore without that constant internal editor whispering in my ear (who strangely sounds like Danny DeVito).

This weekend I read The Duff by Kody Keplinger.  I know it's been out a while (just announced the second printing) but I have a huge To Be Read list, ok?  Before I ever lifted the cover of this book I wanted to love it.  She was sixteen when she wrote it.  It's about teenagers by a teenager and if ever you wanted a shining example of voice, this is it.  It's dark, shallow, funny, and deep.  It's a contradiction, I know.  But so are teenagers.

Even if you don't write or normally read YA, this is the one exception you have to make.

In honor of reaching over a hundred followers, (which blows me away) I'm going to show the love by giving away a copy of The Duff.

And because it's Liar Society week and I did go PINK for my sisters, Lisa and Laura Roecker, I am going to throw in a copy of The Liar Society which comes out next week.  Everyone who has read it so far says it's beyond awesome (my copy already pre-ordered).

My favorite contests are the random ones so that's what we'll do.

Be a follower, leave a comment, and I'll figure out that random generator thing everyone talks about...or maybe I'll go old school and put your names in a hat.

I'll announce a winner next Monday so you can have a chance to comment all week up until Sunday night.  When you should be sleeping and not reading blogs anyway.  For you followers who aren't totally in love with YA...the next contest I do will definitely involve Stephen King.

Love you guys, and thanks for following!

  7. Congratulations on hitting - no, surpassing - 100 followers! There's a reason we all come here, you know. We sort of like you. A lot. But not in a stalkerish way. Really.

I'd like to throw my name into the hat for these contests, please. Both of these books sound fabulous!
