Sing Me A Story

What more could you wish for as a published author than for someone to get your story so completely that they could write and sing this?

Not much...not much more at all.

And I still haven't had a chance to see the movie so tell me, have you?  Should I go?  Or wait for the DVD?

  1. I saw it twice. Fantastic.

There were some minor characters cut to accommodate the huge cast, but all in all I thought it was fabulously done.

And some of the changes they made were necessary. For example, to get around the constraints presented by the 1st Person POV from the books, they gave a minor character a larger role. Gave the viewers a behind-the-scenes look that only enhanced the complexity of the story. Brilliant. Highly recommended.

  2. I haven't seen it yet either. I'm the laziest movie goer ever. Mostly, too, I'd end up going by myself, which isn't very fun. So I'll be waiting for the DVD.

Pretty cool to have someone feel something so strong about the world you created that they write a song about it.

  3. I really loved the movie. I saw it with two friends, neither of whom had read the books. One was a bit perplexed and thought the ending was sudden. The other one loved it and went and bought the books the same day.

But yeah, how awesome would it be to have someone write a song about your story?

  4. Trust me, you don't want to hear me sing.

It helps to know I'm not just talking to myself.
